A 16 hour programme which explores the banking sector, how a bank functions and careers in banking with a computer simulation exercise of running a “real” bank.
Suitable for Grades 10 -12. |

Upon completion of the Mini-Enterprise Programme, learners are offered the opportunity to write the Cambridge Examination, an internationally-recognised entrepreneurial qualification underwritten by Cambridge University. |

A seven hour programme which fosters lifelong skills and knowledge about how an economy works, including micro-, macro-, personal, and international economics.
Suitable for Grades 9 – 12. |

A new concept where learners are introduced to entrepreneurship through a number of interventions over a period of approximately three hours.

A seven hour programme which introduces learners to critical economics and management decisions through an interactive simulation.

Job Shadow Internship Programme |
|
A 10 day holiday internship where learners are rotated throughout a company and explore possible careers in a variety of settings.

Junior Achievement SA Career Day |
|
A one day career workshop for parents, learners and educators. Direct access to professional advice is provided at the workshop, which consist of presentations by career professionals and tertiary institutions. |

Mini-Enterprise Programme (MEP) |
|
A 36 hour programme over 11 weeks intensive business programme where learners start up and run their own business after selecting a product or service.
Suitable for Grades 10 – 12 and out–of-school youth up to the age of 25. |
|
A six hour programme which teaches learners about earning, spending, sharing, and saving money, and businesses they can start or jobs they can perform to earn money.
Suitable for Grades 3 – 5. |

A ten week programme designed to develop an understanding of the tourism industry and what makes for a successful tourism business. Learners will learn how to conduct market research, learn how to use information and communications technology and will design, develop and operate a small tourism business.
Suitable for Grades 11 - 12 and out of school youth. |

A seven hour programme during which learners develop the essential components of a business plan. In so doing, the programme challenges learners to start an entrepreneurial venture while still in high school.

Enterprise Dynamics Programme (EDP) |
|
A 42 hour programme divided into four phases, introducing learners to the concepts of the economic life of families, communities and countries. Learners explore setting up a mini-business to learn the theory and practicalities of small businesses. Learners are also introduced to the knowledge and skills required to access future employment.
Suitable for Grades 4 – 9. |

A six hour programme which emphasises entrepreneurship whilst providing a strong focus on social studies, reading, and writing skills. Learners are encouraged to use critical thinking to learn entrepreneurial skills that support positive attitudes as they explore and enhance their career aspirations.
Suitable for Grades 6 - 10. |

A 20 hour programme which prepares learners for entry into the workplace by covering crucial issues such as self-assessment, communication skills, preparing for job interviews, compiling a good CV as well as team work, building rapport and influencing others.
Suitable for Grades 10 – 12. |

A youth-led learner body made up of JA graduates who meet monthly and work on a variety of projects such as writing newsletters, attending JA functions, and marketing to schools, designing competitions and conducting training. Suitable for grades 10 – 12.

A one or two day workplace-based general career exploration programme based on an activities-orientated learner workbook.
Suitable for grades 10 -12. |

Junior Achievement SA Entrepreneurship Academy Programme |
|
A seven to eight month long programme with weekly sessions of three – four hours, incorporating a number of the above listed programmes and including micro-economics and business ethics. The focus of the Entrepreneurship Academies Programme is to provide a more intensive longer term intervention in business and entrepreneurial skills, workplace readiness and financial literacy.
Suitable for Grades 10 – 12 and out-of-school youth. Acceptance onto this programme is subject to a selection process.

A 21 hour programme for high school learners to assist them to learn how to manage their financial lives in a responsible way. The programme will develop their ability to analyse their motivations about the uses of money and establish good financial habits which can carry over into their adult lives.

The Economic Impact of the HIV / AIDS Pandemic |
|
The Economic Impact of the HIV/AIDS Pandemic - a three hour module which explores the financial and economic impact of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Learners explore the costs of HIV/AIDS for the family, for local businesses as well as exploring the effects on global economic growth.
Suitable for Grades 10 -12. |
